Happy Friday! What a beautiful spring day and weekend we’re going to have just in time for Mother’s Day. Mother’s Day weekend definitely has a feminine flair to it and as we prepare to celebrate the special women in our lives, what better day than today to share this feminine floral number?
Floral prints are always popular in spring and summer and are a nice change from the dark and solid prints we wear in fall and winter. My blush pink floral print midi dress from Nordstrom is just the right combination of feminine and flirty with its Bardot off-the-shoulder neckline, a side slit and an all over soft and romantic floral print. I bought this pretty little number a couple months ago for my girlfriend’s wedding rehearsal dinner, but it has since sold out. I’ve linked several similar styles that I think would be perfect for special occasions such as baby showers, bridal showers, engagement parties, rehearsal dinners and weddings since this also happens to be prime wedding season.
Hey guys! Happy Cinco de Mayo! I’m looking forward to meeting some of my girlfriends for dinner this evening for good laughs and some tasty Mexican food. Any excuse to sip on margaritas and chow down on chips and guacamole is a day worth celebrating in my book.
What I love most about spring fashion is the brighter, airy and lighter clothing. Since I like to invest in more timeless and classic pieces, my go-to articles of clothing are primarily black and/or neutrals; however, come spring, I try to stay away from black because I wear so much of it during those cold and gloomy winter days and I believe that how you dress can reflect the mood you’re in and the energy around you. When the days are longer, the sun is out and it’s warmer, I feel more energetic and livelier so my choice of colors in spring and summer definitely reflect a more vibrant and happy mood.
My casual all white outfit was easy breezy to put together and I just love a white and beige color combo which creates a neutral, clean and polished look. If you have the same problem as me and have a hard time finding white jeans that aren’t see through and show every dimple and cellulite on your thighs, I highly recommend these by Articles of Society. They’re soft and stretchy and are only $59. Win- win!
Happy Tuesday!! If you’ve kept up with my last four posts, then you’ve noticed that I may have gone a little overboard with my collection of suede moto jackets.
As I’ve already mentioned, if you’re looking for a good suede jacket, then the BLANKNYC Morning Suede is the one to purchase. Since I prefer neutral colors and I like to invest in more timeless pieces, I chose this jacket in Coffee Bean that I’m wearing in today’s post and in Sand Stoner previously seen here. This suede jacket is extremely soft and comes in a variety of colors so you really can’t go wrong with whichever one you choose.
For my casual look, I paired a couple of my favorite suede pieces in slightly different hues of brown for a monochromatic and overall tonal look while keeping it simple and clean with my white lace top and jeans. Mixing different tones or shades of one color with different textures such as suede paired with lace is a great way to add depth and dimension to your outfit.
Happy Monday! I hope you enjoyed your weekend and your week is off to a great start!
If you’ve been following me on Instagram then you’ve probably noticed that I’m a big fan of moto jackets. In fact, coats and jackets are my go-to statement pieces year round simply because they can make any ordinary outfit stand out.
In my previous post, I mentioned that navy is one of my favorite colors that can go with almost anything so when I came across this navy suede moto jacket for $99 at TJ Maxx about a month ago, I just had to add it to my wardrobe and make it one of my go-to spring essentials that will undoubtedly transition into a fall essential later this year.
If you’re looking for a good quality suede moto jacket that comes in a variety of different colors, including navy, BLANKNYC Morning Suede is probably the most popular suede moto jacket among fashion bloggers and stylists. I have a handful of BLANKNYC vegan leather jackets that I always get compliments on in addition to two of the suede jackets, one in coffee bean (dark brown) and the other in sand stoner (taupe/beige) which are more practical options for the price.
Happy Wednesday, friends! I’m so ready for these gloomy and rainy days to pass and for warmer weather and consistent sunshine, but as they say, April showers bring May flowers!
In today’s post, I’m sharing a nautical business casual look. Navy is a neutral color that pairs well with everything and like black, is timeless and classic. Navy combined with ivory, beige or white can create a calming, soothing and relaxing mood and typically brings beaches, seasides, the Hamptons and sailing to mind; therefore, making this nautical inspired color palette particularly popular in spring and summer.
My navy denim button-up shirt from Target paired with white jeans or pants gives this casual outfit a more polished and professional look and is a great option if you work in an office with a business casual dress code.
