And just like that. *Poof* August. Gone. It’s always bitter sweet as we transition from summer into my favorite season, pumpkin spice everything, which officially kicks off tomorrow with the launch of Starbucks’ infamous Pumpkin Spice Lattes! I love fall and everything that comes with it, particularly the fashion, but since we technically have 22 days left before we officially have to trade in our spaghetti straps and off the shoulder crop tops for long sleeves and pullovers, I’m going to share this cute date night look from a couple weeks ago of which includes this strappy ruffled flounce crop top from Forever 21.
On another note, John and I are heading to Napa Valley this weekend for some much needed R&R. What better way to finish out the summer and unwind for four days than with a glass (or two) of vino and picturesque views in beautiful wine country?! Eek!! We’ve been dying to go back ever since we took a day trip from San Francisco a couple years ago so I’ll be sharing details of our trip when we get back.
Today I’m sharing one of my new favorite purchases, the “Luciana” belted high waist wide leg from Loft324. I fell in love with these pants a while back after seeing them on a fellow fashion blogger, but because the brand only produces so many at one time, some items sell out pretty quickly so as soon as I received an email letting me know they were back in stock, I quickly purchased the “Luciana” in blue and the “Camila” in black (I’ll share those in another post).
I just love how wide leg pants elongate your legs and make you look and feel taller. The “Luciana” pants are extremely comfortable, stretchy and extra long with a 35″ inseam which is a plus since I prefer the hem hit the floor or go a tad over so I can wear high heels (I’m just under 5’7″ and I’m wearing a size S). If you like wide leg pants such as these and other timeless and classic pieces as much as I do, then I’d highly recommend subscribing to their mailing list to get notified when their new collection launches. In the meantime, I’ve linked similar styles below.
I’m sharing my go-to color combo for summer along with my new favorite trumpet-sleeve blouse that I recently purchased from H&M. I couldn’t pass up the $29.99 price tag for such a pretty top that looks more expensive than it is so I bought it in blue and white (also comes in black). The lined woven fabric which keeps it from being see-through makes it a little heavier and rather warm on a hot summer’s day, but is perfect when it cools down at night and for the upcoming fall season. The pleated flounce cuffs and v-neck give this straight-cut blouse more shape and make it more feminine.
Happy Tuesday! Hope your week is off to great start. I’ve recently been introduced to a contemporary Brazilian brand, Sara Boo, that I’m now sharing with all of you! Sara Boo is an online retailer that sells dresses, tops, bottoms and jumpsuits targeted towards the confident modern woman who isn’t afraid to express herself and displays her values and beliefs through her style of clothes.
This floral lace drawstring top with eyelet details from Sara Boo paired with my favorite distressed high rise skinny jeans and platform wedges makes for a flirty, fun and relaxed casual summer look.

Eh-sexy lady, op, op, op, oppa “Gingham” style! Sorry guys, I couldn’t help myself lol. Anyway, happy Friday!! Any fun plans this weekend? My cousins from Ohio are coming in tomorrow so I’m going to spend some time with them before stopping by my mother-in-law’s house for her annual Ladies Spa Day. She has several different vendors setting up shop in her home such as a nail tech., a masseuse, mobile spray tan, a local boutique, etc. for a day of mingling, shopping and lounging poolside with her lady friends. In the evening, John and I are going to dinner with a couple friends and then to see Disney’s Alladin The Musical which I’m pretty excited about, and on Sunday, my bff is having a few of us girls over to hang out and relax by her pool; a perfect way to unwind after an eventful Saturday.
In today’s post, I’m pairing a Gingham print crop top with high waisted white flare jeans for a fun and flirty, retro inspired casual look. With its micro-check pattern, Gingham is a classic print that has been trending all summer and one of my favorite prints next to stripes. From off the shoulder tops and dresses, billow sleeves and ruffle trim, there are so many different ways to style this oh-so-summery-print.
