Happy Thursday! In today’s post, I’m sharing a casual look with neutral and khaki tones. I prefer softer color palettes in the spring and summer and neutral shades tend to bring out my golden skin tone. You can’t go wrong with neutral colors since they go with anything and if you’re looking to build your wardrobe, neutral hues are a must.
I love casual pieces for any night of the week and while jeans and t-shirts are pretty basic and can sometimes look too casual or sporty, they are timeless pieces that with a little twist such as your favorite moto jacket, statement jewelry, heels or distressed denim can ultimately transform a boring outfit and make it more stylish.
Happy Good Friday! I hope you enjoy the upcoming Easter weekend with whomever and however you spend it. My dad had some complications after a procedure he had done a month ago so unfortunately he’s had to stay at the hospital and rehab center up until yesterday so I’m really looking forward to spending time at home with him along with the rest of my family, particularly our newest member, my little nephew who just turned one month old yesterday! Holidays are just so much more fun with little kids.
As you know, I’m really into suede moto jackets (I encourage you to get one if you don’t already own one) so I wanted to share another version of the jacket that I wore in my previous post. When I stumbled upon these SL8 suede jackets at TJ Maxx over a month ago, I had such a hard time choosing between the two so I decided to purchase them both. They were such a great deal for only $99 and when you shop at discounted retailers like TJ Maxx, Marshalls or Nordstrom Rack, you have to snag the item right away so you don’t risk losing out on it since more than likely it’ll be gone the next time you go in and try to purchase it.
I paired my olive green jacket with a white lace top to keep the look clean and neutral and I opted for my favorite flare jeans, previously seen here, for a casual 70s street style. (I swear I should’ve grown up in the 70s!) If you prefer more of an edgy rocker street style over my retro look, then I would suggest swapping the flare jeans for some skinnies. Peace! 🙂
Happy Monday! I hope you enjoyed your weekend and your week is off to a great start!
If you’ve been following me on Instagram then you’ve probably noticed that I’m a big fan of moto jackets. In fact, coats and jackets are my go-to statement pieces year round simply because they can make any ordinary outfit stand out.
In my previous post, I mentioned that navy is one of my favorite colors that can go with almost anything so when I came across this navy suede moto jacket for $99 at TJ Maxx about a month ago, I just had to add it to my wardrobe and make it one of my go-to spring essentials that will undoubtedly transition into a fall essential later this year.
If you’re looking for a good quality suede moto jacket that comes in a variety of different colors, including navy, BLANKNYC Morning Suede is probably the most popular suede moto jacket among fashion bloggers and stylists. I have a handful of BLANKNYC vegan leather jackets that I always get compliments on in addition to two of the suede jackets, one in coffee bean (dark brown) and the other in sand stoner (taupe/beige) which are more practical options for the price.
Happy Wednesday, friends! I’m so ready for these gloomy and rainy days to pass and for warmer weather and consistent sunshine, but as they say, April showers bring May flowers!
In today’s post, I’m sharing a nautical business casual look. Navy is a neutral color that pairs well with everything and like black, is timeless and classic. Navy combined with ivory, beige or white can create a calming, soothing and relaxing mood and typically brings beaches, seasides, the Hamptons and sailing to mind; therefore, making this nautical inspired color palette particularly popular in spring and summer.
My navy denim button-up shirt from Target paired with white jeans or pants gives this casual outfit a more polished and professional look and is a great option if you work in an office with a business casual dress code.
